About Sarah Elliot

I’m Sarah, an Assistant Head Teacher in a girls’ independent school in South London and a Classics teacher. I learnt Latin at a maintained girls’ grammar school in the Wirral in the 1990s and went on to study Classics at the University of Cambridge in the early 2000s.

I completed a PGCE in 2006, and I’ve been working in girls’ independent schools ever since, teaching Classical Civilisation, Latin, and Classical Greek. I received a Master’s Degree in Teaching in 2021 and am a member of the Chartered College of Teaching. I agree with Dylan Wiliam that we can always improve as teachers – learning never stops. I’m always looking for ways to develop my teaching practice, particularly through collaborating with students, fellow teachers and researchers.
